ABOUT ASHTAVAKRA

Ashtavakra Institute of Rehabilitation Sciences and Research is an ISO 9001:2008 certified ’A’ rated institute approved by Rehabilitation Council of India, a statutory body under Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Govt. of India and affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi, located at the hub of institutional area of North Delhi in a barrier free environment with metro connectivity, working in the field of disability for the welfare of Person with Disabilities.

Ashtavakra Institute of Rehabilitation Sciences and Research is the first self-financed institute throughout the North India, to run Bachelors in Audiology and Speech Language Pathology (BASLP Programme). The Institute is running diploma (D.Ed Special Education) and degree level (B.Ed Special Education-Mental Retardation and Hearing Impairment) courses in special education along with practical exposure to students.

Ashtavakra Institute of Rehabilitation Sciences and Research is focused and aimed to develop the specialized human resource for the welfare of persons with special needs and do research in rehabilitation sector for the welfare of differently abled people. The institute is organizing National and International Conference since last 6 years and working on community based rehabilitation program on wider level covering geographical area of North-West Delhi and keeps organizing the rehabilitation camps on monthly basis. The ultimate goal of the institute is not only to give degrees to the students but also to develop an advanced rehabilitation professional personnel to fulfill the demand of our society in the field of rehabilitation and special education.

Cochlear implant (CI) is the most advance techniques available for children with profound hearing impairment. Cochlear implants offer more benefits to some recipients than to others. It is difficult to predict how well any individual’s brain will be able to interpret the new auditory signals it is receiving with the implant.

This conference aims to be the premier scientific meeting and will help us take a step forward in the field of cochlear Implant. The vast experience of our eminent international and national faculty will allow us to update with the available cutting-edge skills. This meet will provide a platform for all to learn and share the passion for empowering hearing impaired population.

  • Rehabilitation and follow up
  • schemes (facilities / concessions), funding of CI program and Disability certificate
  • Quality of life and challenges of CI recipients (U/L / B/L CI , bimodal hearing & ANSD)

CONFERENCE PROCEEDINGS

The blind reviews conference papers will be published in the conference proceedings (full paper) bearing an International Standard Book Number (ISBN).

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR PAPER SUBMISSION

Paper should clearly indicate the title of the paper (title case),name (s)of the authors, E-mail Ids, address of the organization of the authors with telephone number. Length of the paper should not exceeds 5000 words, single space 10.5 point font size (Times New Roman or Arial), MS-Word. Abstract should not be exceeding 300 words, and should includes, methodology, sample of population and salient findings.   

Paper should have at least 3-4 Keywords. 

Strictly Follow the APA Style for Reference for references and cited work. The specimen for various kinds of entries of APA Style is reproduced for ready reference.  Authors are supposed to prepare PPT for the conference presentation and should send before attending the conference.

The accepted papers for the authors ,may submit ‘Certificate of

Originality and copyright’.   Paper may be sent to ‘Convener’ at the address given on the last page of the brochure and also copy inforehab@tecnia.in on or before 21st February 2020.     Only Selected and registered papers will be published.
